Lakefield is a BHS approved, RDA approved, Pony Club and Riding School Centre with Livery, Apprenticeships, Training with an on-site Tack Shop and established Caravan Park

Teaching Staff

 

Lakefield Team - Becky MonkBecky Monk – Partner/BHSI/NVQ Assessor/RDAI/Competition Rider

 

Becky Started Lakefield EC in 1994, Becky spends her time in managing the centre, health and safety, training students and assessing students within the centre.  Becky teaches regular clients and Disabled Riders within the centre. She will provide training for BHS exams up to and including the BHSI exam.

 

Becky has competed successfully in many disciplines to include BHTA Horse Trials, BSJA, Affiliated Dressage and has a very good all round experience she is still actively competing.

 

Becky is the Regional instructor for the South West Region and provides training and health and safety assessments for the south west region.

 

Mark Cunliffe – BHSI SM/ RDAI/Competition Rider

 

Lakefield Team - Mark CuncliffeMark has been teaching at the centre since May 2008 and spends most of his time in the school teaching clients/Disabled Riders/Students.

 

Mark was 3rd at The BHS Young Instructor of the Year Competition in MISSING. He was also 3rd in the British Dressage Talent Spotting Final in MISSING.

 

Mark Competes his own horse Rastafari in Dressage and has competed up to Prix St George. Dressage is his speciality. Mark does however teach all levels of riders in both Dressage and Jumping.

 

Mark is County instructor for The Riding for the Disabled in Cornwall and provides training for the county and health and safety assessments.

 

Mark is also a trainee BD judge.

 

Partners

 

Maureen Perring Maureen is not horsey but has been involved in Lakefield from the start.  Maureen is currently learning to carriage drive.

 

Dennis Perring – Dennis is not horsey but has been involved in Lakefield from the start and his main role is day to day maintenance within the centre.

 

Reception

 

Lisa Hicks – Lisa joined Lakefield in 2007 and works full-time in Reception. Lisa has worked locally for NatWest bank and before coming to Lakefield worked as a secretary in a Doctors’ Surgery.  Lisa loves anything to do with horses and says she has found her niche – a job with horses on-site ! Lisa also is a volunteer for the North Cornwall Riding for the Disabled group which is based here at Lakefield.
